The two Israel Defense Forces soldiers abducted by Hezbollah on July 12 are “in good health,” Lebanese Foreign Minister Fawzi Salloukh said Sunday.
If he knows they are in good health, then he also knows where they are, or knows who does. He needs to give this information to the Israelis immediately, or become complicit in Hezbollah’s war against Israel.
As All Things Beautiful reports the Lebanese Prime Minister Fouad Siniora has praised Hezbollah and not once condemned their attacks on Israel:
“The government considers the resistance a natural and honest expression of the Lebanese people’s national rights to liberate their land and defend their honor against Israeli aggression and threatsâ€
The Lebanese Prime Minister is complicit, or a coward. Either way he needs to be held to account. The days of blaming Israel for all of your problems are gone. Mr. Siniora now has two choices. Ally with Hezbollah and see his country left in ruins, or cooperate with the Israelis in destroying Hezbollah and finally offering Lebanon the peaceful and prosperous future it deserves.
Former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri showed courage by insisting Syria pull its troops out of Lebanon, and stop exerting influence over Lebanon’s then puppet government. It cost him his life.
That courage inspired the citizens of Lebanon to rise up and also show great courage during the “Cedar Revolution”; forcing Syria out of Lebanon after decades of occupation.
It is time for the democratically elected leaders of Lebanon to show that same courage and remove the scourge of Hezbollah once and for all. If they fail to do so they are either complicit in Hezbollah’s crimes, or cowards.

Blaming an ‘independent faction’ for attacks on Israel is a lame excuse. The Lebanese are trying to draw sympathy and cloud the facts with this misdirection. If they wanted to stop Hezbollah, they would have soldiers/police going house to house and door to door to root out and disarm them. But they are doing no such thing. Inaction to the activities of Hezbollah is equivalent to supporting them. As such, its obvious Hezbollah is ‘in bed’ with the powers that be in Lebanon. It is unfortunate that innocent people are dying on both sides, but the Lebanese government has no right in crying out of injustice when they know exactly what they are doing and who they are supporting.

[…] Be either being complicit in Hezbollah’s terrorist attacks, or too cowardly to face the Hezbollah terrorists in his midst it appears Mr. Siniora may have condemned his country to years of chaos and destruction. If Lebanon refuses to send troops to the south, Israel’s Prime Minister Olmert may be finally forced to give the IDF generals, and hawks in the Knesset the free hand they have been asking for since the start of the conflict.
