First let me catch up on some items I missed over the holiday.
Blue Crab Boulevard has a very moving post from Gaius’  (the author of BCB) son who is currently serving in Iraq. He recently attended a memorial service for his friend Specialist Benjamin James Slaven who was killed in the line of duty. It is simply titled Farewell.
Betsy had several great posts. Like this one on Patriotism, and this one on Joel Stein’s latest idiocy (he doesn’t like flags in his yard), and this one commenting on Mark Kurlansky’s article WWFFD? Who Cares? Mark begins this article with this memorable line:
SOMEONE HAS TO SAY IT or we are never going to get out of this rut: I am sick and tired of the founding fathers and all their intents.
Dan Riehl has a fantastic post that follows the money in the netroots movement. Â
moving on to new items; Stop the ACLU is fending off an attack from the Kossaks.
Hillary may be throwing Joe overboard but some Dems are going to campaign for him.
WASHINGTON — Embattled Democratic Sen. Joe Lieberman is getting a little help from his Senate friends as he tries to fend off an anti-Iraq war challenger in an intraparty fight.
Sens. Joe Biden of Delaware, Barbara Boxer of California and Ken Salazar of Colorado plan to campaign in Connecticut for Lieberman between now and the Aug. 8 primary. Their goal is to reassure the party faithful of the three-term senator’s loyalty to Democratic causes, including women’s issues, labor and the environment.
What will the moonbats do if their boy Lamont looses this primary?Â
Brainster has early reaction from the left.
Mark in Mexico is living blogging the re-count in Mexico’s Presidential election. In the end the people of Mexico will get a continuation of the kleptocracy, or a commie who will throw the economy into ruins again. So it’s pick your poison imo.
