Ok we got rained out last week so today come hell or highwater we are going camping damn it!
So a quick look at the best of the blog roll today and a weekend open trackback for you guys. TG should put up a couple of posts while I am out. Oh and I am working on something I think you will really like for early next week. No I am not gonna tell you what it is. Its a surprise!
So on to the best of the blogroll:
One of the blogs of the month 24 Steps to Liberty has a fantastic post up on the first session of the Iraqi, full-term parliament yesterday. 24 says:
I was in the same room in which the lawmakers announced the formation of the Iraqi Council of Representatives and saw and heard the members swear the oath. It was amazing, in different ways!
“The country is going through a difficult period and big crisis,†Pachachi said in his speech advising the council’s members to “prove to the world that a [civil] war is not going to happen in Iraq,†and to learn the lesson of the past three years and not to “allow the ethnic and religious loyalty to weaken our will.â€
If you want to know whats really going on in Iraq then read the whole thing right now!
Iraq the Model has translated one of the documents that was just recently released. It speaks for itself
Decision08 tells us all is not well in Moonbat land:
George Clooney is spitting mad at Arianna Huffington - and the blogosphere is wobbling on its axis.
“She said some things that I won’t share, but she did tell me that this could be bad for me - bad for my career. Well, screw you!†the movie star told me yesterday about a conversation he had with the doyenne of Huffingtonpost.com. “I’m not going to be threatened by Arianna Huffington!â€
Thanks for the laugh Mark.
If you want to see someone who is passionate about free speach then visit my dear friend GM Ropers post yesterday.
If you didn’t know already Hugh Hewitt is no fan of E.J. Dionne. For the record neither am I.
Captain’s Quarters has an update on the Gitmo Study. It seems the other reviewers had the same impression that I did.
The Gun Toting Liberal is up in arms over the new proposed NSA legislation. I guess he doesn’t realize 70% of his fellow citizens agree with it. I of course referred him to the Greenwald Turner debate.
Betsy’s Page is still down (
The Ex-Donkey doesn’t think much of V for Vendetta.
Thats it. As I said this is a weekend open trackback post so if you have something funny or interesting to share please send a trackback to this post and it will be listed on the main page. Be sure to leave a link to this post in the main body of your post or your trackback will be deleted and burned in effigy. Only one trackback per blog please.
Here is a list of other fine bloggers who are hosting open trackbacks this weekend:
Stuck on Stupid, Adam’s Blog, The Crazy Rants of Samantha Burns (she really is crazy you know), The one the only the legendary Third World County, Ryhmes With Right (my guesses are fight, light and night what do I win?), The Liberal Wrong Wing, Of course that morning staple TMH’s Bacon Bits,
Now go read them all, leave pithy comments, troll the moonbats, and have a great weekend!

Thank you for the link. As you can see, it has been reciprocated.
I have responded to your comment at my blog, in the post you’ve referenced. As for the 70% of my fellow Citizens agreeing with you, I will concede that, but it doesn’t mean they are right. Our Forefathers were smart enough to see the dangers of the “mob rules”, exclusively democratic system of governing, which is of course why our country is a Republic vs a pure democracy.

All but one of the Cubans will now be issued a visa, the one who won’t be has a criminal history. The lawyers won their battle, but do they really think Fidel Castro is going to let these people go now? I wouldn’t count on it.
