Lots of people are talking about the latest Cindy Sheehan Incident. Last night she got herself arrested again.
I don’t want to get into the debate over if it was right or wrong for her to be arrested. Lot’s of other folks are talking about that. I would like to know why Cindy Sheehan was honored with an invitation to this event when it was certain that she would disrupt the proceedings.
Wouldn’t any of you jumped at the chance to attend a State Of The Union address from the President of the United States?
Regardless of his party or if you agreed with his policies or not I might add. I certainly would. So why this woman when Rep. Lynn Woolsey knew she would be a distraction and most certainly be ejected?
Aren’t there any veterans of this war, or families of veterans of this war who live in Rep. Woolsey’s district who would have been deeply honored to be invited to this event?
Couldn’t she find someone who could behave themselves for about an hour and a half?
What Cindy Sheehan did was not just a dishonor to herself to her cause or to President Bush. She dishonored our country and our government as a whole. She has once again lowered the level of the general discourse. She has harmed us all.
Very few Americans will ever get the opportunity in their lifetimes to attend an event like this. Cindy capitalizing on the death of her son has been able to attend numerous events all over the world meeting with scores of dignitaries. Many of them hostile to the United States.
Like it or not George Bush is your president as much as mine. For those of you who claim he is not your president I say then this is not your country. At least be honest with yourself.
To people like Rep Woolsey, and Cindy Sheehan nothing is sacred. No respect is due to anyone who disagrees with them.
Sister Toldjah found this story that says Cindy wasn’t the only one asked to leave. She was the only one who had to be forcibly removed however.
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — The wife of Rep. C.W. Bill Young, R-Indian Shores, told a newspaper that she was ejected during the State of the Union address for wearing a T-shirt that says, “Support the Troops Defending Our Freedom.â€
Beverly Young told the St. Petersburg Times that she was sitting in the front row of the House gallery Tuesday night when she was approached by someone who told her she needed to leave.
She said she reluctantly agreed, but argued with several officers in an outside hallway.
In a telephone interview with the newspaper, Young said she told them her shirt wasn’t a protest but a message of support.
Capitol Police Sgt. Kimberly Schneider said Young wasn’t ejected from the gallery and she left on her own. She couldn’t provide additional details.
Generation Why has more on Rep Woolsey.
Of course the left is jumping up and down exclaiming this is yet another example of the creeping police state.
Mark in Mexico is fed up with Cindy.
Michelle Malkin is fed up with Lynn Woolsey.
The Jawa Report wants her impeached!
